Hornby Plans
These plans have been designed specifically for Hornby track, and are based on previous editions of the Hornby Track Plans manuals and catalogues from the 1970s to 1990s. Hornby have advised that whilst copying a track plan with track planning software does not infringe their copyright, scanning in pages from the books does, so please be advised of that when it comes to sharing layouts on the forum.
Many of the plans are designed using first radius curves, and therefore may not be suitable for modern rolling stock. It should however be possible to adapt these for second and third radius curves if you have more space. In addition, some pieces of flexitrack have been employed to ensure an exact fit of track pieces. Several plans appear more than once in the list (particularly in sections 3 and 4), occasionally with slight variations - all have been included for the sake of completeness.
Elevated sections are shown with purple edges, reverse loops in blue. All buildings and platforms are in dark grey, whilst the grid represents a square foot.
