This plan is well suited to an industrial location, where wagons might be shunted between platforms for loading and unloading of goods in different stages of manufacture. A passing loop acts as the main route across the layout, with a fan of sidings on both the lower and upper parts of the board. Moving goods from platform to platform, as well as the rearranging of wagons into a pre-defined order, should provide operational interest on this compact but busy plan.
