This narrow trackplan would be well-suited to an industrial or depot setting, with the backscene providing some storage space even within a 6x1 footprint. Low-relief buildings or even railway arches could be used to disguise this area, accompanied by suitably grimy and heavily weathered scenery. Sheds at either end of the layout provide space either for locomotive repairs or for freight facilities, with six points allowing reasonably complex operation on this compact layout.
