6x4 End-to-End Freight

Minimum radius = 2nd radius

This layout provides a run-around loop at each end of the branch. Freight loading and unloading facilities would be provided at both terminals, using kit-built structures or even ready-to-plant buildings from Hornby or Bachmann. A short passenger platform means that a DMU or short steam-hauled railcard could run in between goods services, while tank or small diesel locos provide the most suitable haulage for freight. Additional sidings provide plenty of opportunity for shunting and rearranging full / empty wagons.
