Based on the main station at the East Lancashire Railway, this plan could be developed into a passable representation of Bury Bolton St station. Three passenger platforms are shown on the lower part of the plan, with ‘The Trackside’ pub fabricated from red brick on the innermost platform. Sandstone retaining walls all around will add to the grimy northern atmosphere. On the upper part of the plan, the steam sheds at Buckley Wells can be modelled, or alternatively the diesel shed at Baron St (now with a museum attached).
