This layout could easily be added to a tail chasing garage railway, with an impression of Laira's central depot. The top part of the board acts as a fiddle yard, and the space to the right could be taken out and replaced with an access hole, with the scenic part of the layout on the bottom part of the plan. With more space, HST sets could be accomodated alongside diesels coming in for refuelling and servicing. The overhead crane can be fitted to the bottom two sidings, and the upper set could be arranged inside Hornby HST Shed or Peco Modern Shed units.
