This layout is designed around the two main buildings shown top left and top right. A fiddle yard section in the top right corner allows locos and wagons to be changed, but the short headshunt means that this plan is best suited to tiny tank locos or diesel shunters - think the Model Rail Sentinel, Hornby Pug or Bachmann Class 03. Giving the layout a back story will help operations no end, meaning that fuel tankers will need depositing in the correct siding, likewise any goods or infrastructure wagons.
