This ambitious plan is well suited to a small spare room, but offers the chance to model one of the Southern Region's most attractive stations. The junction station is shown on the lower part of the plan, with an island platform on the Brighton platforms and a platform either side of the London lines. Two infrastructure sidings maintain a degree of freight operation, perhaps for a Railtrack tamping machine or ballast train. With third rail operation on all lines, some of Bachmann's new EMU units would look right at home here - getting a realistic model bonfire going might prove more of a challenge...
