With all the hallmarks of a terminus station, yet with one track running through to a freight-only branch, Lossiemouth offers lots of operating potential. The station itself has one platform but plenty of goods facilities to the lower part of the board, and the tracks leading away from the station could even be joined in a fiddleyard to the rear of the layout. A goods shed is situated on the siding parallel to the passing loop.
